Inspection Experience

CSMI performs third party inspections and has two EIFS certified inspectors on staff. CSMI supervises and documents destructive investigations to determine the amount and potential causes of damage. We have experience in determining the potential causes of water intrusion damage at the building envelope.

Siding: Vinyl, Cedar, Cement products, Stucco, EIFS, Metal panels

CSMI employs certified moisture analysts, quality control inspectors, and building envelope inspectors. CSMI is also certified in the application of EIFS (Dryvit) and has successfully performed applications.

Building Envelope: Weather Barrier and Flashings

Framing: Platform framing, stick framing, Balloon framing, Panelized walls, Dimensional and Engineered lumber, Structural steel, Concrete-rebar placement, Post and Beam

Fenestrations: Doors and Windows, Curtain walls, Building penetrations, Decks and deck coatings

CSMI is a member of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association) and EDI (Exterior Design Institute).

Concrete: Basement, slab-on-grade, crawlspace, T-shaped, Frost protected, Post tensioned slabs

CSMI has certified concrete slab moisture testing analysts and a concrete management master certificate. In addition to these accomplishments CSMI employs a certified concrete pump operator and a certified concrete tilt up technician.

Earthwork: Utilities, water, sewer, soil, rock, and fill analysis

Roofs: Composition, Torchdown, PVC, TPO, Slate,
